Looking back at the 5th edition of the PSL Soft and Living Matter days
The fifth edition of the PSL Soft and Living Matter days recently took place at ESPCI Paris - PSL, bringing together a large part of the PSL scientific community over three days to explore topics related to soft and living matter.
Researchers, PhD students, and postdoctoral fellows from PSL laboratories gathered to share their work, discuss new opportunities for collaboration, and highlight the latest advances at the intersection of physics, biology, and chemistry.
Rich and Stimulating Scientific Exchanges
The program featured a wide range of contributions, including oral presentations, poster sessions, and flash talks, covering topics from the fundamental properties of soft matter to the complex dynamics of living systems.
Invited talks showcased the excellence of PSL’s constituent institutions, while early-career researchers had the opportunity to present their ongoing work in dedicated short-format sessions.
Three young scientists were awarded prizes for the quality of their presentations — congratulations to all the winners!
A Moment of Science… and Connection
To close the event, an evening cruise on the Seine offered participants a relaxed setting to continue their conversations while enjoying stunning views of Paris’s iconic landmarks.
See you in 2026 for the next edition! In the meantime, (re)discover the 5th edition on video.
