Metasoft at the Fête de la science

The Metasoft flagship program will take part in the Fête de la science on Sunday, October 5, at the PSL village.

On the program: two interactive workshops to playfully explore the surprising behaviors of soft materials and metamaterials:

Workshop 1: When liquids meet
Why do oil and vinegar repel each other? And how does mustard manage to bring them together? This workshop reveals the role of surfactants, essential not only in cooking… but also in our lungs!

Workshop 2: Diving into the nano world
At the nanometer scale, water can become as viscous as honey, and materials made almost entirely of water can behave like solids. Come and explore this invisible world where bubbles, surfaces, and friction reveal surprising phenomena.

Whether you're curious, young or old, a science enthusiast or just passing by : come explore, ask questions, and get involved!
